The entry door of ribbon mahogany is 42 inches and was made by designer Swede McBroom of Floyd.
The master bedroom keeps simple lines with hardwood floors and cherry banding.
The Zen-style master bathroom teams steam shower with soaking tub.
The galley kitchen features cherry cabinets by Carter’s Cabinet Shop, Roanoke; backsplash is glass and stone tile. The bar top is handcrafted walnut. Lights were handcrafted by Vermont’s Hubbardton Forge.
The stairs are constructed with hickory treads and cherry wood skirts.
Will and Teri Fry sit with Oggie at Cherry Blossom Cottage, designed and built by Bench Mark Builders.
Teri Fry got to see the tree trunk that would become her vanity that draws its center design from the wood growth pattern; it was built by Phoenix Hardwoods in Floyd.
The Fry home exterior draws on Arts and Crafts design, but retains a flavor of Asian architecture.
