Each Monday night on the Waldron Stage of Mill Mountain Theatre, the Playwright’s Lab at Hollins presents a talk by a prominent working professional theatre artist. This week’s guest is Roland Tec, the director of membership for the Dramatists Guild of America. He has spearheaded several educational initiatives, including Self-Production Boot Camp, and served as artistic director of Boston’s groundbreaking New Opera Theatre Ensemble for 12 years. Notable film credits include two features which he wrote, directed, and produced, All the Rage and We Pedal Uphill. His current project Kennedy V, a new play inspired by Shakespeare’s Henry IV, part 1, focuses on the struggles and missteps of a junior senator from Massachusetts named Teddy Kennedy. Tec is a member of the Producers Council of the Producers Guild of America.
