Sharon Ramey, PhD, a professor and Distinguished Research Scholar at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute, is also a research professor of psychology in Virginia Tech’s College of Science. Before moving to Roanoke, she was most recently the founding director of the Science of Effective Early Childhood Education Program at Georgetown University, where she was also the Susan H. Mayer Professor of Child and Family Studies. Dr. Ramey earned her doctorate and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Washington.
