Michael Wessel is examining the jarring effect that man and time have on the natural landscape in his upcoming exhibit, ‘Marred by Man and Time,’ at 2nd Helpings Gallery. Wessel has driven thousands of miles chasing the landscape to get what he feels is just the right picture. “Whether my eye falls on a cotton field in the early morning light or a view of the mountains in the harsh light of midday,” says Wessel, “I am compelled to capture what I see: time and/or man changing the land.”
Wessel’s work will be on display at 2nd Helpings Gallery throughout May, with a special reception scheduled Saturday, May 14 from 1-3pm. Complimentary refreshments will be provided by 2nd Helpings Café. For more information about Michael Wessel, go to wesselphotography.com.
