Boxley and Goodwill Industries of the Valleys are teaming up to bring Bedford and Botetourt County residents a free, convenient and environmentally responsible way to dispose of unused electronics.
Computer and computer equipment contain environmentally sensitive materials that can be safely removed or recycled, but only if the e-waste is kept out of landfills in the first place. This e-cycling event will help raise awareness of responsible electronics disposal while supporting a great cause.
All proceeds from the recycled e-waste support Goodwill’s job training and employment programs throughout the Roanoke, New River and Shenandoah Valleys of Virginia.
Fill a dump truck with items for Goodwill! A team from Goodwill Industries of the Valleys will also be on-site accepting donations of clothing and household items, including: accessories, toys, books, linens, furniture, computers (any brand, any condition), small appliances and electronics.
Goodwill is unfortunately not able to accept: major appliances, mattress or box springs, cribs, strollers, playpens, car seats, other infant furniture, tires, batteries, paint, chemicals, cleaning or gardening chemicals, kerosene or gas heaters, upholstered furniture that is torn, stained or soiled, fuel tanks, gas grill tanks, oxygen tanks, wet or badly stained items, garbage or trash.
