The congressional elections of 2014 promise to be hotly contested and significant in their political and policy consequences. The College will offer post-election discussion with two distinguished commentators - Kirsten Powers and Melissa Moschella- who will share their independent analyses of the election’s outcomes.
Powers is a columnist for USA Today and a Fox News commentator who has worked for the Clinton White House and the Andrew Cuomo campaign. Her writing has been published in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Dallas Morning News, the New York Observer, Salon.com, The Daily Beast, the New York Post, Elle magazine, and American Prospect online.
Moschella will join us from the Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Culture where she is a fellow. She was Phi Beta Kappa at Harvard University and earned her PhD in political philosophy from Princeton University. Her commentary has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The New York Daily News, Public Discourse, and National Affairs.
The event is sponsored by the Henry H. Fowler Program and the Robert Benne Center for Religion and Society.
