Chicago rock band Wilco announced its tour dates with a stop in Roanoke at the Berglund Center on February 13. Tickets are available at HomeTownBankTix.com or Berglund Center box office.
The band released its ninth studio album Star Wars today on vinyl. Initially made available with no advance notice as a free digital download on July 17, Star Wars has been hailed as the band’s “most concise, catchy, naturally songful album in at least a decade,” by Rolling Stone and called “a roughhewn, fuzzed-out blast” by A.V. Club. It is available now for purchase in all formats: digital, CD and vinyl, through wilcoworld.net, iTunes, Amazon and at local independent record stores.
Each vinyl LP includes a bonus download of Wilco’s live set from this year’s Pitchfork Festival, where the band performed Star Wars for the first time in its entirety, as well as the full Star Wars studio album in digital format. Exclusive limited edition white vinyl is available at independent retailers only.
Consistently praised as one of the best live bands in existence, Wilco resumes its touring in 2016 with a string of East Coast concerts, including Roanoke, VA.
