Tour Headquarters - Ronald McDonald House 2224 South Jefferson Street, Roanoke, Virginia 24014
Five homes and gardens in Roanoke will be open for tour in connection with the 80th Historic Garden Week in Virginia, sponsored by Roanoke Valley and Mill Mountain garden clubs. This year’s tour is “A Trolley Tour in the Mountains”. Roanoke’s Star Line Trolley and a shuttle will transport guests to homes on the tour. Two homes, Rockledge and Tarrylong, are located in the Mill Mountain Star neighborhood and three homes are in the adjacent South Roanoke neighborhood. There is something for everyone. The event provides a unique opportunity to see unforgettable gardens at the peak of spring color, as well as homes sparkling with spectacular flower arrangements created by club members. Proceeds from the tour are used to restore or preserve grounds and gardens of Virginia’s most cherished historic landmarks. The tour is going to be spectacular and a “won’t want to miss” event!
