A Dialogue about Sound in Film

Sound engineer Tom Ryan will discuss the art of putting sound and dialogue in motion pictures. Ryan works at Parabolic Studios in NYC where last year he worked with Wes Anderson, doing the dialogue recording sessions for his "Moonrise Kingdom." Ryan is currently working with Sofia Coppola on her new film "The Bling Ring." His working clientele includes such actors as Hugh Jackman, Meryl Streep, Ben Stiller, Natalie Portman, Bill Murray, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel, Rachel Weiss, Ed Norton, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
