Art Exhibition: Visual Stories-Real and Imagined: Recent Work by Illustrators and Instructors

Featured will be original artwork by instructors teaching in the summer 2016 M.F.A. children’s book illustration program at Hollins. Included will be illustrations from <em>Castle Full of Cats </em>by Ruth Sanderson, <em>The Canyon </em>by Ashley Wolff, <em>The Prince’s Diary</em> by Elizabeth Dulemba, <em>Minna’s Patchwork Coat </em>by Lauren Mills, and <em>Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone</em> by Mark Braught. Additionally, this summer’s writers-in-residence, Cece Bell, Newbery Honor winning author of the graphic novel <em>El Deafo </em>and Tom Angleberger, creator of the bestselling<em> Origami Yoda</em> series will have work in the exhibition. Through August 14. Hours are Tuesday-Sunday 12-5 pm; Thursday 12-8 pm.
