Lecture by Margo Crutchfield, Curator at Large, Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech. Crutchfield has worked with emerging, mid-career, and established artists, and has organized exhibitions in a wide range of media. In 1996, as associate curator at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Crutchfield curated the first solo exhibition on artist Beverly Semmes in Virginia. In this lecture, Crutchfield revisits that watershed exhibition and her experiences with Eleanor D. Wilson Museum exhibiting artist Beverly Semmes.
