Appalachian Power Festival Run

The Appalachian Power Festival Run is the premiere running event for western Virginia, and it offers a little something for everyone. Whether you're a hard-core competitor or it's your first running event, the 5K and 10K courses alongside the Roanoke River and through downtown Roanoke highlight some of the best views in the region. The 5 and 10k races drew nearly 500 runners of all ages and abilities. At the conclusion of the race, awards were presented to the overall winners as well as top runners in the different age brackets.
