"Artist Facing A Blank Canvas” Creative Writing Workshop
to
Taubman Museum of Art 110 Salem Avenue Southeast, Roanoke, Virginia
Legendary American illustrator and artist Norman Rockwell's rich, illustrative paintings are known for their storytelling qualities. From his expressive characters to expertly rendered details in each scene, Rockwell was a master at telling a story through images alone. In this class, practice constructing a narrative inspired by these works. After a 30-minute mini-tour of the exhibition, work with the instructor in guided writing exercises to practice the art of effective storytelling. This event is $45 for members and $50 for non-members. Price includes a 30-minute Rockwell tour. For additional information and to register, visit TaubmanMuseum.org or call 540.342.5760.
