Classic rock legend Boz Scaggs is coming to Roanoke this Spring. The singer, songwriter and guitarist will perform at Berglund Performing Arts Theatre on Sunday, May 1 at 7:30pm.
Scaggs' career began in the 1960's when he and his childhood friend Steve Miller formed the Steve Miller Band. After recording two albums with Miller, Scaggs embarked on a solo career. His 1976 album Silk Degrees featured several musicians who would later form the band Toto and had a number of chart topping hits like "Lido Shuffle" And "Lowdown."
Scaggs' career is still going strong. He tours all over the world and continues to record. His latest album, A Fool to Care, features guitarist Reggie Young, steel guitarist, Paul Franklin, and singers Bonnie Raitt and Lucinda Williams. "I'm at a point where I'm having a lot of fun with music, more than ever," Scaggs says about the new album. "it's like I'm just going wherever I want to go with it."
