Before the Parade

The parade is free and open to all- so lets take an hour or so before the parade to get to know one another over breakfast!  We will have parade swag for sale and everyone who registers for the parade will get get a raffle ticket to win cool prizes. Register online in advance and you get even more chances to Win!

The Parade

This parade is going to be an amazing spectacle full of noise, laughter and music. We hope to have as many as ten “Krewes” who will design ten “Pageants” (or moving visual events) like Floats or Giant Puppets. If you are not in a Krewe you can still join anyways- we will have spaces between the Krewes for the “Indies” how want to do it their own way.

The route of the parade is still under consideration so let us know your thoughts. The parade should be fun to watch so we will need a route will good viewing locations. Where should we start? Where should it end? 

After the Parade

The parade may take up to an hour from start to finish, and everyone should be ramped up to have more fun! We plan on having a party after the parade for the participant to mingle, and to have our raffle drawing for registered participants. We will have some terrific prizes donated by local businesses. There will also be a best Krewe pageant award, best Youth award and best Indie award.

Roanoke always has lots of Outdoor Festivals, Art Events and Sporting Activities virtually every weekend from Spring until Fall -so come visit for the Art Parade and stay to enjoy all Roanoke has to offer!
