Introduction to Graphic Novel Illustration

Join us for a special Saturday Workshop for children ages 9-12 at the Taubman Museum of Art. Local artist Katherine Devine will teach on the subject and history of graphic novel illustration.

Learn about the rich history of graphic novels and comic books and Japanese manga, we will learn some basic drawing techniques and materials to bring your own stories and characters to life! All supplies are provided.

Enrollment for each class is limited; registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment must accompany registration; the Museum accepts cash, check, or credit card. Registered students will receive a confirmation by email the week prior to the start of class, with details about class requirements, supplies, and museum procedures. Photographers are on duty at museum events to capture images for the museum's archives and publications. If you prefer not to have pictures taken of yourself or family members, please notify the instructor.
Fees are nonrefundable except when the Taubman cancels a class.
