While pursuing her bachelor's degree in physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Jennifer Wiseman discovered the comet Wiseman-Skiff. After earning her doctorate in astronomy at Harvard University, she was a Jansky Fellow at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory and a Hubble Fellow at Johns Hopkins University. Her work has led to heading the Laboratory for Exoplanets and Stellar Astrophysics at NASA, serving as the president of the American Scientific Affiliation, and now as the senior project scientist for the Hubble Space Telescope.
