Take Me Out to the Ball Game: A salute to Vietnam Era Veterans

In commemoration of the Vietnam War 50th Anniversary, the County of Roanoke, City of Roanoke, Town of Vinton, City of Salem and Stonewall Jackson Chapter/AUSA are hosting Take Me Out to the Ball Game: A Salute to Vietnam Era Veterans Night with the Salem Red Sox. On Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Lewis Gale Field, Salem Civic, Vietnam Era Veterans are invited to attend the Red Sox vs Nationals Game. Vietnam Era Veterans will receive two complimentary reserved seat tickets and $5 worth of “Sox Bucks” for concessions. Tickets and Sox Bucks will be available at the gate that evening. Gates open at 6:00 pm and additional tickets, if needed, can be purchased at the gate.
A special salute to Vietnam Era Veterans will be held at 6:30pm on the field. During the pre-game ceremony, all Vietnam Era Veterans will be invited to take the field. The 50th Anniversary lapel pins will be presented to those who have not previously received pins. Those who have already received lapel pins are requested to wear them. Music will be provided by Brass Ensemble, 29th Division Band.
