Vinton War Memorial
The Vinton War Memorial offers a beautiful space for weddings, special events and more.
If the nature-rich, small-metro Roanoke Valley is a great, undiscovered spot for families, then Vinton is the area’s beautiful, inviting back-porch gathering place.
Vinton’s where folks have come together each spring for more than 50 years for all-American events like a parade, carnival, lots of good food and the crowning of the Dogwood Queen. Newer events, such as the Vinton Wine Festival and Winter Concert, help draw visitors here year-round.
It’s where love for country runs deep enough that the War Memorial was in the works even before World War II ended. Now, veterans are honored and remembered with the Veterans Monument, dedicated in 2011.
Vinton is a lot more than that too... it’s folks gathering to talk and browse the fresh produce at the Farmers Market. It’s little downtown shops and restaurants that have been around for 50 years or more...
It’s new businesses too, opening in a charming downtown anchored by a historic clock that both points to the future and keeps Vinton traditions alive.
It’s a busy, friendly little hub of life, Vinton is, with the “big city” of Roanoke just to the west and America’s Favorite Scenic Drive – the 469-mile Blue Ridge Parkway – just outside our back door.
