"Apache Dip" Recipe

"Apache Dip"

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (more if preferred)
  • round loaf of Sourdough or any round loaf that is not too soft
  • Tortilla chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400º F
  2. Cut a round circle out of top of Sourdough loaf
  3. Hollow out inside of loaf, but save the top in tact as a cover for the dip
  4. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, salsa, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, cheddar cheese (in that order) until incorporated
  5. Fill bread "bowl" with dip, replace top of loaf and wrap bread "bowl" in foil
  6. Bake in the oven for 1 hour
  7. Serve warm with tortilla chips
