Baby Diaries
As a working mother, I sometimes feel guilty that I’m not home with Sydney to not only watch her grow, but also just to have more time with my baby girl to bond, play and make memories.
Luckily, my mom – Grammie to Sydney – who babysits her during the week, came up with the great idea to write a daily diary (speaking for Sydney) that shares with us just what she’s up to all day. So while we may be missing it in person, we still get to read about the fun she’s having, the food she’s eating and how much she loves her family.
Thanks, Grammie for keeping us up-to-date. It makes us happy to know she is in good hands and enjoys her time with you. We – and Sydney – appreciate it more than you know!
Here are a few excerpts from the diaries:
“There are lots of fun things to do when you are little like me. My toys are in a nice box but I always scatter them on the living room floor to play. I am so interested in walking I don't stay still for very long!”
“We played all afternoon. Grammie took me down the hall on a blanket. She said I was riding a choo-choo train. It was a fun day!”
“My Mama came home for lunch at 1:00 to feed me. I am so happy she comes home every day to fed me. She is the best Mama!”
“Grammie got me dressed to go to the gym in nice warm pants, a long sleeve romper and my nice warm jacket. Daddy came in the gym day care this morning to see me. He held me in his strong arms!”
