This is West End’s most popular sandwich. Choose the best deli meat you can afford and look for thick potato bread. (Recipe courtesy of “A Taste of Virginia Tech“)
Makes 1
- 3 slices potato bread
- 2 ¼ teaspoons mayonnaise
- 1 slice roasted turkey breast
- 2 slices cooked bacon
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 leaves green lettuce
- 2 slices tomato, about 1/8 inch thick
- 1 slice roast beef
- 1 slice ham
- 1 slice American cheese
Toast bread slices and assemble as follows:
Bottom piece of bread: Spread with half of the mayonnaise and top with turkey, bacon, Swiss cheese, and one each of lettuce and tomato.
Middle piece: spread with the remaining mayonnaise and top with roast beef, ham, American cheese, and one each of lettuce and tomato.
Top with remaining slice of bread.
