LeisureMedia360’s Art Director Wins 2nd Silver Addy
LeisureMedia360 of Roanoke, VA is proud to announce Caroline McKean as the winner of another Silver Addy for her fashion piece in the Roanoker magazine.
The Addy awards has more than 5,000,000 participants every year, making it the world’s largest advertising competition. Participants can win two awards: gold and silver. It is a great honor to win an award on this level and McKean has won this award twice, this time on behalf of her fashion segment titled “Arrivals” in the September/October issue of the Roanoker Magazine. David Verde, McKean’s photographer and stylist, also helped with her segment.
“My main goals for the ‘Arrivals’ fashion piece were to reintroduce fashion to the Roanoker magazine and showcase the urban, distinctly Roanoke character of our industrial history,” said McKean. “David took that direction and created an iconic Roanoke photo shoot featuring fashion from Roanoke-only retail locations.”
“My goal for this first editorial was to create a visual story that got readers excited about fashion and how to build a community that supports it on a local front. Using downtown Roanoke as the backdrop was the clean and obvious choice. It was about giving the clothing, model and the city an equal starring role in each photo,” said Verde.
Others that helped make this photo shoot possible include: Natasha Duff-Cole, Model; Julien Nicolas-Jade, Hair and Makeup; Joey Corkey, behind the scene videography; Kristin Gainey, behind the scene photography; Helen Bower, intern; and Roxy Broom, photography assistant.
“So many people came together to make this happen, I can’t thank them and the folks at The Roanoker enough for putting their faith in me,” said Verde.
