Fetch: The Newest Way to Get Fast Food

Short lunch breaks, bad weather, or a busy schedule can all add up to less than pleasant meal experiences. Fetch Roanoke is here to change that. They’ve teamed up with some of Roanoke’s best restaurants and are excited to provide a new experience for hungry customers who never even have to leave their desk.

When Jonathan Kelly founded the new Fetch Roanoke, he wanted to provide a food delivery service that was not only easy to do, but convenient for customers. After Kelly and a friend created Big Lick Grocery, they realized the need and want for food deliveries. Thus the creation where people could get food (other than the norm of pizza or Chinese) delivered right to their door.

You can order your meal on their website from your phone, computer, or tablet – or even call in if you prefer the “old-fashioned way.” Once customers order, Fetch relays it back to the restaurant, where the driver shortly after picks up the food and delivers it right to the customer.

“Feedback has been incredible,” Kelly says. “The community has shown a great deal of interest. We’re definitely staying busy though there’s always room for more!”

With 30+ restaurants on board, plus calls from new ones everyday, Fetch is quickly growing. Places like Ragazzis, Nawabs, Jack Brown’s, and Fork in the Alley are just a few on the list, while their Facebook page recently announced the new addition of Roanoke City Market Building restaurants.

Fetch serves the Roanoke valley with a flat delivery charge of $5.99. They accept all major credit cards, cash on delivery, and even Pay-Pal. As of mid-February, their delivery radius is within five miles of the downtown area (see their site map here).

Day to day operations are run by managers Anthony Simmons and Mikey Nguyen. Things are going so well they’re already discussing expansion. Salem (and Roanoke College) and Vinton are next on the list to see Fetch deliveries. They also want to take it to other colleges in SWVA.

“It’s really exciting to see what this could become,” adds Kelly.

For more information, visit Fetch Roanoke’s website or give them a call at 540-682-5929. You can also visit their Facebook page to keep up with all the news and additions about this quickly growing local business.
