RVSPCA Furry Friday: Eeyore

Eeyore is a special little boy who so deserves a second chance at a happy life.  This little Chihuahua mix was rescued from a hoarding situation, so he came to us full of fear and anxiety.  He wouldn’t let anyone touch him or pick him up.  He would constantly hide in the back of the cage, and could not be walked on a leash.  We got him out of the stress of the shelter and into a loving foster home.

Our fosters worked patiently on his socialization, and now Eeyore walks with a harness and confidently rides in the car.  He will even approach kind strangers in hopes of scoring a treat!  Sweet Eeyore clearly loves human contact, because he prefers to sleep in his human’s bed under the covers!  Eeyore gets along well with other dogs, and has begun to show us his playful side.

He is only 9 pounds, so he would be comfortable in any size home.  He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested.  So that he does not regress, Eeyore is still in foster care and can be seen by appointment.  If you would like to be Eeyore’s Happy Ending, please call 540-339-9507 or email at tlight@rvspca.org.
