From the Nomination: “Madison is the founder and owner of the GlamHouse Day spay which just celebrated its five-year anniversary! The spa has earned many awards … Madden is the hardest worker I have ever met. She is caring, innovative and enthusiastic about everything she does. Not only does she run the most beautiful and spotless spas I have ever seen, she is also an incredible role model to any aspiring entrepreneur.”

What do you love about Roanoke?

Madden: “There are many things I love about Roanoke. The site of our Star after traveling home from a long trip, the smell of roasted chestnuts during Dickens of a Christmas, Sunday brunch at the elegant and historic Hotel Roanoke. This ‘Star City,’ is just that to me. Our community is supportive, friendly and engaging. As a young business owner, our Star City offers so many resources to help our dreams come to fruition. The Chamber, great banks that give you capital to get started, Co-labs for sharing ideas… everything you need to be your own Star in whatever dream you bring to life.”

How does your passion impact our community?

Madden: “The passion as the owner of a Day Spa is that my team and I have the chance to be ground shakers and day makers. It is our job to help foster a connection of a person’s inner and outer beauty. The feeling I get when I am helping another person see their beauty and recognize their worth is truly irreplaceable. I have always been passionate about creating something that would not only reflect my talents, but would help others increase their self-confidence.”
