Dark Chocolate Crescent Rolls

Introducing my favorite new easy dessert recipe! I’ve seen several recipes that use crescent rolls to make some sort of yummy pastry, whether it’s using peanut butter, Nutella, or the like. The great thing about this recipe is you can substitute basically whatever you might like for your sweet treat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can crescent rolls (the can I bought made 8 rolls, so make it 2 or 3 cans if you’re expecting company!)
  • dark chocolate chips
  • Nutella/JIF hazelnut or chocolate spread (or peanut butter!)
  • marshmallows (optional)

If you check out the slideshow of photos, you’ll see just how easy it is. First, preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Once you pop open your can of crescent rolls, separate and roll them out. Spread your chocolate/Nutella/peanut butter on.

Next, decorate with dark chocolate morsels and, if you want, mini marshmallows! And of course you can substitute the dark chocolate with milk chocolate or peanut butter chips, anything your dessert-loving heart desires. That’s what I love about this recipe – you can make it to please just about anyone!

Carefully roll them up – starting from the large end down – making sure to keep all the good stuff inside so it doesn’t spill out while baking. Pop them in the oven for about 10 minutes (my oven runs pretty hot, so I kept a close eye on them, bringing them out after 9 minutes, but that’s just me).

Give them a few minutes to cool and then watch them magically disappear from the plate! Yum!
