Love putting Fido in his annual pumpkin Halloween costume? Does Princess the Cat deserve her tiara all year round instead of just October? We want to see your best pet costume photos for a chance to win a $25 PetSmart gift card!

Submit them to llong@leisurepublishing.com for them to be included in our Halloween Pet Costume album on Facebook – then encourage your friends to “Like” your pet’s photo and we’ll tally the votes at the end. Whoever has the most likes wins!

And since we know most of you won’t dress up your pet until Halloween, we want to give you time to enter, so our the deadline won’t end until November 11th at midnight! Then we’ll show off our winner’s pet photo bright and early Monday morning (to get you through the rest of the week of course!) We do urge you to submit as soon as possible to better promote your pet’s photo to your Facebook friends so that it gets the most votes possible.

What if you don’t have a pet to dress up but you’re looking for your new furry best friend? There are plenty of wonderful dogs and cats at Angels of Assisi and the Roanoke Valley SPCA who would LOVE a new family to spend the holidays with! Consider volunteering, fostering and/or adopting a pound puppy or kitty!

(By the way, if you’re wondering who that handsome dressed up Jack Russell is, it’s blogger Liz Long’s dog, Fisher – he’s going as James Bond’s faithful sidekick for Halloween!)

Official Rules: No purchase necessary. Odds of winning depend upon number of entries received. To enter contestants must send photo(s), along with your full name and phone number by November 11, 2012 to llong@leisurepublishing.com. Multiple entries ARE permissible but votes are determined by Facebook votes (“likes”). Contest closes Nov 11, 2012 at 11:59pm. Winner will be notified after Nov 11. Winning parties are responsible for any and all taxes. By entering the contest, entrants grant The Roanoker magazine a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed by The Roanoker. Any recipes republished will include an author credit as feasible. The Roanoker will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.
