Tootie’s Fundraising Event – Jill Bailey Chenet Scholarship Fund

Tootie's Fundraiser

Jill Bailey Chenet, a Salem High School graduate whose family resides in town, passed away in July 2012. She and her husband Matt were expecting their first child.

In her honor, “A Night of Remembrance, To the Moon & Back” will raise funds for the newly established “Jill Bailey Chenet Scholarship Fund” and to help raise funds for “Jill’s Buddy Camp”, a camp that matches teenagers with young developmentally delayed children.

The Salem Education Foundation is a registered 501 (C) (3) nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization, which will award annual Scholarships to young adults looking to embrace education and life.

This memorial was inspired by people who wanted to give locally, since Jill graduated from Salem High School. You can read more about her life and activities with this piece by WSLS10.

The Jill Bailey Chenet Scholarship Fund is actively looking for sponsors and donations for the event. The golf tournament is sold out, but they are still looking for hole sponsors or donations. You can go directly to the site on the Facebook page to buy tickets or donate. Any checks need to be made out to the Salem Education Foundation.
