Urban Spaces & Tastes from Taubman Museum of Art

If you’re looking for a fun, unique way of seeing beautiful urban spaces plus an afternoon of incredible food, then you’re in luck! The Taubman Museum of Art is hosting the first ever Urban Spaces & Urban Tastes event that’s sure to provide guests with a terrific day complete with local craft brews and live music. The Taubman Museum of Art is hosting its newest fundraiser Urban Spaces | Urban Tastes on Saturday, April 11, giving participants the opportunity to experience the sights and flavors of Roanoke.

The day kicks off with Urban Spaces- a self-directed walking tour.  Ticket holders will get an exclusive look at some of the most uniquely customized properties downtown which include:  an art gallery/studio, five homes, and three businesses.  The last stop of the tour is the museum’s newest urban space- the Sculpture Garden.

Beginning at noon in the Sculpture Garden all are invited to Urban Tastes- a food truck festival featuring a variety of local cuisine options, the craft beers of Parkway Brewery, and blues music by the Gabe Morales Trio.

Urban Spaces: An Exclusive Tour of Artistic Downtown Living runs 10am to 1pm, includes a $10 food/beer voucher and free entrance to Urban Tastes, $50 per person.

Urban Tastes: Food Truck Festival Outside the Museum runs 12 noon to 4pm, free to museum members and Urban Spaces tour participants, $5 cover for the general public.
